A couple of nights ago I had the opportunity to find and watch a documentary about Tupac Amaru Shakur. Being a mostly-rock music type of guy (me), I really had no good idea of who he was but I was intrigued enough, and I decided to watch it online on NetFlix. The documentary was focused mainly on the fact that Tupac was indeed a good man and also the fact that he had to face a lot of “reality” in a little short of time during his short life: no wonder he got violent at some point. But what really caught my attention was that, even though him and I are VERY different, I also found each other on the same side of the “grass” on many other aspects including justice, helping other to succeed, and mainly worry about others as much or even more than you could worry about yourself.

I do not share the same violent ideal he had, yet somehow I believe that we do not live in a civilization as we often call it and hence the violent reality everyone faces in their neighborhoods, and practically everywhere else in all sorts of situation. Again, I DO NOT share the fact that violence is a way to solve our problems. But think about it, humans have been fighting for the most useless reasons over and over and over again (and we still do… Oil? Power? Food? Money?). I see a pattern, not a better world unfortunately. And no, I’m not being negative here. Again, go back a few thousand years and check how many battles have been fought and for what reasons and what the outcome has been. To some extent I like to think that animals behave more responsibly than humans; yet we call ourselves the superior race. Give me a break.

There’s a ton of stuff to talk about Mr. Shakur, and he definitely had a very remarkable life. Yet my post purpose here is mainly to let people know that it does not really matter where you come from (this is my favorite part of the post): you can always be a good, generous person who can definitely can change his/her own world and others’ as well. But since we are humans too, we can be our own destruction if ever decide to go that route… so keep both eyes open because our worst enemy is out there… ourselves!

It has been a long road since I began working on my own. Yes, I do. I could tackle the “Rat race,” and flush it down the toilet. However, that’s another story. What matters, now, is the fact that I’m already working on the fast track to get my music going one way or another. It is really hard to find good musicians out there because it all seems that 90% want to play the “rock n’ roll” wannabe. I admit I did too. It all seems unclear and lifeless, and all that one cares about is to play a little, and then have fun; yet nothing is really serious. This is why only 10% really do something. They focus, they sweat, the sacrifice, they win. Once again, it has been a long process since I began what’s my new life: I work on my own, set my own hours, make my clients life easier, and the best part is that I can apply that knowledge to kRemstudios.

My first EP, a short 5-song CD titled “Vision Introspective” (the EP), will contain songs such as “Alpha,” “EDEN,” and Soldier; to name a few. The songs are scheduled to selected for the EP, and the the lyrics process will resume. Even though my acoustic videos (click on links) are for demonstration purposes only, they give you an idea of what my composing style is all about. No, not all the songs are to be played on the acoustic. All songs are different and have diverse sounds and meanings (forget the traditional one style fits all type of CD with a ballad at the end to get you even more confused).

This is it for now folks. More soon…

I have the pleasure to announce that I will be playing with my good friend RICO Star from Stars After Midnight while I get my things together for kRemstudios. Actually, RICO and I will be getting together to contribute on each one’s project simultaneously; cool! It has been a bit hard to find people to play with us, and we have decided to help each other with whatever we can.

Tonight April 25th, 2009, RICO performs along with his computer which will be pumping the sound for him; way too cool! I’m supposed to start playing with him once the guitars and also the bass lines flow easily through my veins, and I can perform without making any mistakes, hehehe. It has been a long way for him, and now he is back from Canada to do it, as he preaches, “Vegas Style.” I hope that means something really good for me too!

If you happen to live in San Diego, then you should come with us to O’Connells. The address is:

1310 Morena Blvd
San Diego, CA

If you can’t make it, just wish us the best! I will be taking charge of the CD sales, and anything that RICO could get his name onto.

See ya!

I got tired of the site I was trying to build before. It was too much of a hassle. I thougth “why don’t I create something that’s simple and yet conveys my message successfully.” The answer was to build my own simple blog. For some it might be like a no-brainer type of deal, but the truth is that the simplest things are the hardest to figure out. It took us hundreds of years tp say “yes, we can fly” and after a few experiments a couple of guys made the first air trip. So to me is an accomplishment to finally have said “screw fanciness!”

This blog is perfect and here’s just a little bit to begin writing my story and have you guys come and converse with me anytime.

Take care,
