I do not share the same violent ideal he had, yet somehow I believe that we do not live in a civilization as we often call it and hence the violent reality everyone faces in their neighborhoods, and practically everywhere else in all sorts of situation.  Again, I DO NOT share the fact that violence is a way to solve our problems. But think about it, humans have been fighting for the most useless reasons over and over and over again (and we still do… Oil? Power? Food? Money?). I see a pattern, not a better world unfortunately. And no, I’m not being negative here. Again, go back a few thousand years and check how many battles have been fought and for what reasons and what the outcome has been. To some extent I like to think that animals behave more responsibly than humans; yet we call ourselves the superior race. Give me a break.

There’s a ton of stuff to talk about Mr. Shakur, and he definitely had a very remarkable life. Yet my post purpose here is mainly to let people know that it does not really matter where you come from (this is my favorite part of the post): you can always be a good, generous person who can definitely can change his/her own world and others’ as well. But since we are humans too, we can be our own destruction if ever decide to go that route… so keep both eyes open because our worst enemy is out there… ourselves!

If you are not good for school, for example, don’t feel bad because society tells you “if you don’t graduate, you won’t be able to have a good paying job.” This is, always, far (very) from the truth. In my case (some time ago, and I’m not turning back), I was the “I’m not good for school” type. Not that I don’t like to study or learn new things; it is the fact that school/college/university felt too slow for me and somewhat a waste of time, and I ended up getting awesome grades (GPA of 3.5), but felt I was just in the wrong place. But why? I love learning and studying about what I love (meaning colleges bombard you with stuff you don’t love and will never use in your life); and I love a lot of stuff. Since a young age, I was interested about almost anything: art, science, religion, cuisine, the human mind, cultures, languages, family, and countless of other topics–and I’m still am. This interest leads me (and has led me) to want to learn quicker than usual and at my own pace–I don’t plan to stop ever; the more I know the less I do, and the more I continue learning! It took me about 10 years to realize that “if I want I can.” And this includes you too. Digging a little bit about my “revelation” after about a decade, I’m glad to say that I could start my own successful website design, SEO consulting, and computer repair business about a year ago; I have made more money, done more things, helped more people, has given me time to work on my passion (music), and learned a whole lot more stuff than I could have ever imagined. What’s best, I’m a better person, I’m capable of more, and in my case it has reassured that I’m definitely in the right direction. But I need to give credit to all those who helped me to reach this far; no human can do anything on its own… Hopefully, you know who you are!

On the other hand there’s the “I know everything already” type of individual. Definitely not me. These individuals have either graduated from a prestigious college, and/or have worked for many years and have lots of experience. When not everyone that fits into this description are limiting themselves in any way and continue learning and pursuing more in life, however, many are. They cannot see that there’s a whole world out there of knowledge and fascinating stories, and just settle caved in into their bubble. So when I see on the news that a “young kid discovered something experts could not believe” and that sort of thing, makes me reassure that we don’t know all the answer to all the questions.

Finally, I can only say that going to college is the smartest decision if you are 100% sure that that’s what you want to do. And when you graduate, don’t stop learning!

Don;t limit yourself, ever, and listen to your heart always.

My first EP, a short 5-song CD titled “Vision Introspective” (the EP),  will contain songs such as “Alpha,” “EDEN,” and Soldier; to name a few. The songs are scheduled to selected for the EP, and the the lyrics process will resume. Even though my acoustic videos (click on links) are for demonstration purposes only, they give you an idea of what my composing style is all about. No, not all the songs are to be played on the acoustic. All songs are different and have diverse sounds and meanings (forget the traditional one style fits all type of CD with a ballad at the end to get you even more confused).

Years have passed, and I finally can say that I “get it;” that I understand that “yes, I can decide if my destiny will be this or that.” For instance, we humans are all born with it; this sort of intuition about our surroundings. Intuition as when itseems to control our thinking and actions at times. Have you ever experienced this? For example, did you choose to go to college or were you influenced by someone? Or, was that restaurant or warehouse you worked at where you decided to spend 5 years of your life? Or, does it make you jealous to see your friends or others enjoy what you cannot? Have you? Have you desired to end a path in your life that did not feel proper? We all have felt this intuition, yet we decide not to listen.

Society plays a huge role in our destiny. We let our families, friends, TV, and other ways of influence affect us positively and negatively. We listenand then we act. We are humans, and we grow and learn imitating what others do.  Yet, there’s acertain point in everyone’s life where the question “what am I here for?” comes around. When this influence is left alone, aside, and permeated from our mind, soul, and body, then the answer comes as if it was always there waiting to be discovered.

I could exclude all these influences a while ago that did not let my real truth cometo me. I’m free and ready, andcurrently working on my reality. The reality I create. The reality I decide. The reality that IS true to me.

Do you still believe in predetermined, writen, and controled destiny? Do you?

Tonight April 25th, 2009, RICO performs along with his computer which will be pumping the sound for him; way too cool! I’m supposed to start playing with him once the guitars and also the bass lines flow easily through my veins, and I can perform without making any mistakes, hehehe. It has been a long way for him, and now he is back from Canada to do it, as he preaches, “Vegas Style.” I hope that means something really good for me too!
